So to start I just want to share that I was a big gouache fan before I bought these. I am still a big fan of Himi Gouache paints, but sadly we don't get them in India. My personal experience with Brustro gouache was just okay. They are creamy, give you variety of colours and I think that's that. I am mainly an acrylic user so whatever comparison i made personally was in between gouache and acrylics.Acrylics feel more premium than gouache when you see the end result. After the first layer other layers take much longer to dry if compared to acrylics colours drying. I feel gouache can only appeal to those who don't know how to colour mix, since gouache provide a variety of colours than a box of ten fevicryl colour box (which is much cheaper)My only suggestion will be, if you are an acrylic user you don't need to switch to gouache just because all foreigner artists are using it. Acrylics can be turned into gouache shades just by adding more white into it.The pic I posted is from a video I uploaded on my channel-artoonish on YouTube using gouache colours.

The color gets reactivted with water which means while painting color layers get mixed in the picture itself which tends to make a mess. Otherwise it is color set for beginners.

These colors is really really good, very vibrant and easy to use. But I will not recommend this to a absolute beginner, choose these colors after doing some research or have an experience using watercolors. These colors are really good but in the hands of a skilled artists not in hands of absolute beginner

Gouache is water based medium but it's not like watercolor. It's highly pigmented. It can give effects like acrylic by using it as watercolor paints. This product is the cheapest in Gouache paints and also works great! Go for it!

This was my review after I just started using them:I am a beginner in gouache, and have been painting regularly with my Nevskaya Palitra set. I love the NP set because it is great quality, i have all the basic colors and it is really affordable for the quantity offered for each paint. But I have a problem of hoarding art supplies and I bought the Brustro set because of the incredible price and the range of colors offered. I was expecting some chalkiness at least, or may be pigment-binder separation.But i am thoroughly surprised at how creamy and vibrant all the colors are! The colors are just too damn pretty as well! Another pleasant surprise has been that, Brustro has provided all relevant info regarding the pigments, namely: opacity rating, lightfastness rating and the pigment code! I mean, any brand that cares enough to give these information, cannot be fooling around. Of course, there was absolutely ZERO chalkiness and no separation between pigment and binder!Creative Hands Art Marterials, take a bow!But I have to change my opinion now. Barely one year has passed since I have been using them often, when some of the paints have started releasing a foul smelling gas that bloats up the tube..at first I started releasing the gas, but the tube bloats up in no time again. The rose pink tube literally cracked open, then I threw it away...just now I see the violet and teal tubes doing the same thing. I will think many times before I buy brustro paints again. They must be using really bad quality materials.

Awesome colours. But you don't need so many colours. It's difficult to blend with other colours. For a beginner it can be quite challenging.

Okay so this is the first time I've used gouache, and it truly is the perfect combo of watercolor and acrylic paints. This Brustro Gouache set is competitively priced, and definitely worth each penny. Some of the shades do seem ever so slightly patchy, but majority of them are vibrant, opaque and good quality. My two cents- Go for it!
