Disadvantages
The main reason for buying these brushes are the relatively long bristles (you can see the difference in bristle length for a similar size brush from a local vendor). This is rare for brushes that are available in IndiaThe density of the hairs seem to be decent. The gloss finish on the wooden handle is a bit uneven (you may call this simple nitpicking, but one expects a good finish on a product branded as "Artist" grade)Only BIG fault out of the box is the ferrule is not perfectly attached to the handle. The ferrule is not crimped properly to the handle and is loose. It moves about when applying any little pressure. This is VERY irritating. Will update my review after using for sometime.UPDATEThe brush seem to be of very substandard quality. The bristles look very well shaped in the package since they are dipped in starch for packaging.... But upon removing the starch by dipping it in water and gently wiping it in a cotton rag, the bristles have become splayed. This is EVEN BEFORE it's first use. During painting, the bristles SIMPLY FAIL to retain their shape. Apparently this is faced by others as well (you can read the reviews for other sizes of this line of brushes).I am highly disappointed with this brush. The finish on the product is not perfect, neither is the ferrule crimped properly to the wooden handle, this is even more evident and irritating while painting.Would advise others to maybe save up some more to buy some higher end brush from other reputable brands. I would NOT consider these "artist" brushes.
