Disadvantages
I recently purchased the Kent Kittle, an electronic device that had received favorable reviews for its performance and durability. However, my experience with the product's warranty coverage has left me feeling disappointed and dissatisfied. One of the main reasons I chose the Kent Kittle was its promised warranty, which I assumed would cover all potential defects and damages. Unfortunately, I soon discovered that this warranty did not extend to the plastic components of the device. This exclusion was not clearly stated in the product description or the warranty documentation, and it came as a surprise when I contacted the customer support team. I noticed that the plastic casing of the Kent Kittle began showing signs of wear and tear within a few months of use. It developed cracks and scratches, which were affecting the overall appearance and, in some cases, hindering the device's functionality. Since I had taken proper care of the product and had not subjected it to any excessive stress or misuse, I assumed these issues would be covered under the warranty. However, when I contacted Kent Kittle's customer support, I was informed that plastic components were not included in the warranty coverage. This was incredibly frustrating, as it seemed like a significant oversight. The plastic parts are an integral part of the device's structure and should be included in the warranty to ensure a satisfactory customer experience. While I understand that plastic can be susceptible to wear and tear, the fact remains that the warranty should encompass all components of the product, regardless of the material used. Many other reputable companies provide comprehensive warranty coverage, including plastic parts, to instill confidence in their customers. Kent Kittle's decision not to include plastic components feels like a missed opportunity to stand behind their product fully. Overall, I am disappointed with the warranty coverage provided by Kent Kittle. As a consumer, I expect a product to be backed by a warranty that covers all potential defects, regardless of the materials used. I hope that Kent Kittle reevaluates its warranty policy and extends coverage to include plastic components in the future. Until then, potential buyers should be aware of this limitation and consider alternative options that offer more comprehensive warranty coverage.

Disappointing Warranty Coverage: Kent Kittle Fails to Address Plastic Components

Advantages
It looks good. Bought it to gift someone, feels perfect for such purpose. For daily use it's a bit risky to use cause it's made of glass and as we all know 'glass is glass and glass can break'. Also the cord length is a bit smaller.

Disadvantages
This product has screwed me over in a number of ways: 1. Made me accidentally swallow some glass particles (context provided below). All while I paid extra money for this seemingly fancier kettle over a regular kettle. 2. Broke apart on the 12th day of usage while Silkrute's return window is only for 10 days. Silkrute's automated responses keep telling me that the return window is closed when I try to raise a complaint. 3. The product's 1 year warranty doesn't cover the glass body. How convenient for Kent, the kettle company. --- Context: I ordered this kettle because it looked cool and had good reviews which somewhat eased my mind about the durability of the glass and the product itself. I only ever used this kettle for boiling water, and it worked fine, for a total of 11 days. The water used to boil sufficiently enough and the blue lights at the bottom were pleasant to look at. I felt the cable to be a little short, however. On the 12th day, I boiled some water as usual and poured it into a steel glass, except this time I felt some very fine particles moving around in my mouth when I drank the water. Thinking that something must have fallen in the water, I emptied and filled the kettle again, but this time a big chunk of the kettle's glass broke apart and fell down as I was pouring the water [PHOTOS ATTACHED]. It was at this moment that I realized, to my horror, that the particles I'd previously felt in my mouth were actually GLASS particles and the kettle glass had started to crack and break with normal usage. Kent seriously needs to have more rigorous testing standards for this product. It is a question of health and safety of their consumers. I could have also cut my hand with the broken glass but was lucky enough to avoid it, although I clearly wasn't lucky enough to avoid losing money and swallowing some glass particles. What a lose-lose situation to be in.
