Now making tea or soup, or coffee, for that matter, is so convenient; the carafe heats up direct on the gas stove (it is obviously not induction-ready) and only the leaves or the soup concentrate or the instant coffee has to be added. Cleaning is super-easy, and the best part of it. I do use a stainless steel ball strainer for the tea, so even the straining capability of the carafe lid is not pushed. Things stay warm for some time, but it is best to re-heat, if that can be done; it's as easy as placing the carafe on the gas flame direct.

I bought this apparatus two months back. It looked very classy and was a topic of discussion for 1 month it lasted. Then a small crack developed on one side. Was it heating or was it maid, I don't know. Soon that small crack became bigger and bigger till it became useless and we had to throw it off.
