This was the third Bergner product purchased by me, all have been of uniformly high quality with absolutely no issues so far.The only negative was seeing the 'Made in China' tag on the product after receiving it, as I'd mentally tagged this as an Indian or European made product..

The moment I opened the paper bag I realized it was someone's return. In addition there were dirty finger prints inside the pan. I tried hard to figure out why it was returned for 30 minutes inspecting the pan under various light sources. It felt as if the bottom was slightly bulged upwards, but it was just an optical illusion. However I noticed that the concentric lines on the bottom were etched deeper than the other 5 Bergner pans that I had at home the largest being 8.3 liters. I washed the pan once, taking care not to wet the label but hoping to keep it for myself, but I noticed water stains in concentric circles which I had never seen in any of my pans. It looks like the bottom has not been polished correctly (Manufacturing defect). In addition, the warranty card and leaflet which is usually included was missing.I didn't want to take any risk, especially at the price of Rs 3436, I shouldn't have been shipped a less than perfect product so I returned the product hoping for an exchange. However and thankfully, Amazon showed me only the refund option. On searching for another seller, I could find none on Amazon, so checked out another online portal and was able to order the same product for Rs 2127!!I had also ordered a Bergner tadka pan from Amazon and found that unsurprisingly it too was available cheaper on the other website, so I cancelled the order from this seller.All my Bergner products are great. I wanted a smaller pan for making biryani for 2-3 people as the 8.3 liter one was good only for a bigger crowd. So don't let this review stop you from choosing Bergner.8.3 liter pan:Among all my Bergner tri ply pans, the 8.3 liter one is the biggest. I have reduced 2 stars because the lid will not seal correctly and steam escapes from 2 places unless I place a heavy weight on it. Secondly, the hot spots on the bottom are very noticeable although it doesn't burn the food as long as you are stirring continuously. I wanted a tri ply kadhai as well but decided to choose Vinod over Bergner as when I ordered Bergner's steamer, the product quality was so appalling that I lost my brand loyalty.
