Pigeon company product is not as reliable they used to be before. This is the 2nd time. I burnt my hand as the hot plates fell due to screw on top doesn’t lock well. The stand cannot take the weight of idlis. Sadly, I cannot return it because my maid already threw the box. Please be careful while buying Pigeon product. Not worth it!!

This was my first time making idli, product is amazing easy to use, just one feedback there should be a marker till where you've to fill water for ametures like me :) i try to fill till the line is but that messed my idlis in the bottom

Product is fine and good but plates stand doesn't come with a good handle to hold the stand from the top . Sometimes it could burn your fingers too. It has small nob with poor plastic. And plates are not equally spaced that's why we couldn't get proper shape of idly.

Easy and quick way to make idlis using this idli maker. I have been using this product for more than six months now and I think it's perfect for my needs. It just about takes 10 minutes to make idlis in this. You need to ensure that you have put in sufficient oil in each cavity for the idli to get the right softness.Upside: Easy to use. The Idli maker makes a funny whistle when the idlis are ready.Downside: It can only make 16 idlis at a time. So you will need several sessions to make many idlis for a large family. At times the idlis didn't get completely cooked but that may be a result of the dough not being right.Other users seem to have complained about it being low quality and parts coming off. But I have had no issues so far.

The product is good but the only problem is that the distance between each layer is less so the idli gets stuck to the above layer of the stand. The layers should have a good distance between each of them.
