I have been looking for an all-purpose container to put my microwave to use for various baking needs, and this one turned out to be a good fit. I could cook/bake pastas, veg-au-gratin, cakes, other baked veggies, heat stuff, etc without worrying much about hygiene and stains (usual worries with plastic).?? Good quality and BPA free borosilicate glass container, made for heavy microwave usage (just that handle it with care- glass being glass)2. Overall its heavy (~500g), i.e. glass is thick across3. Provided lid is clip lock type, and completely airtight and liquid tight (but is not microwave safe)4. With lid can be easily used to store (refrigerate/freeze) cooked food directly and preserve its taste5. Sealing gasket is removable for easy cleaning? CONS••••••••••••None as such for the said usage? FINAL VERDICT••••••••••••••••••••••••If looking for a good quality microwave safe container which can also be used for storage, this is the best bet. So, its like cook veg-au-gratin for e.g., and directly seal and store in refrigerator, and when want to consume it, simply microwave the same container and eat.

This is an excellent product. I used food-grade plastic containers of different quality. Over a period of time, the plastic containers lose their shine and you have food color and smell and it does not go away no matter how much you clean them. Since this is borosilicate glass, it is very sturdy and a breeze to clean. No problems with coloration, smell, etc. But Borosil must provide the lid as well if I want to buy it separately. No complaints and very happy with the overall product

Best replacement for plastic/tupperware, if you're not aware plastic n tupperware does release harmful chemicals like carcinogens which lead to cancer.Quality is pretty good.Heavy glass not very lightLittle hassle is thr in closing it, but you'll get used to in few days.There is a rubber gasket which keeps them leak proof and I guess air tight as well.
