It's herbal. I can smell camphor. Earlier I used Maybelline colossal and Lakme eyeconic kajal. Those stayed for many hours and were smudge and water proof. It was hard to get rid of the kajal at the end of the day. But this product is neither smudge proof nor water proof as mentioned in the description. It smudges within an hour or so. Can be washed with water easily. Since minimum purchase quantity is 5 and can't return it, I will use it when I stay at home and definitely not when I go out.

It smells good and is herbal. It also comes with a sharpener which makes it very easy to use. If you are looking for a smudge proof kajal then this is not a choice for you. It gives a nice dark color and I would definitely buy it again.
