The one I received should have been rejected in quality check because the meter's battery closure notch is broken. It needs a poke from outside or it is not easy to open. As far as the usage goes, it is easy but accuracy is only anybody's guess. Basically, these products are helpful to business (sell expensive spares like lancets and strips regularly) and money making. We should trust instincts and not anything else. Don't read sickness on the device because devices are meant to make you believe that you are sick. Listen to your body carefully, it never misses to give you right signals. Ignorance is not bliss.

Wife was always saying that her blood sugar was low, and she would eat sugar raw, or drink Nimbu Pani with a lot of sugar in it. She just wasn't well. Would cross two major roads on foot to go to a hospital to get her sugar levels checked. I was always afraid she would end up being run down by these zooming cars and bikes.The Accu-chek Instant S blood sugar monitor system was used by us, and it turns out that her sugar is never low. It's normal generally. If she takes some juice etc., the sugar level gets high.I find that to be a big use of the Accu-chek Instant, that after using it for two weeks, now we know that her sugar level is generally normal, and she should not take in too sweet things.It is necessary that the product comes with a few lancets and test strips. They are needed to learn how to use the machine.The strips are very costly though.Update after a month: This device is really an insurance against anxiety. No need to worry anymore about the sugar level being low or high. Clears up all the doubt.She tells me now that when she would go to the local hospital for sugar level testing, they used strips on which there was already blood stains. How undependable that sugar level testing must have been. I am thankful we purchased this product.

Very difficult to place this glucometer in the elastic strip inside pouch. Very tight. Also we need to forcefully place battery in machine as it's jumping back.

Must have if there is are elder persons at your house. This is so user friendly, now my mother is able to use it on her own. Just loved this product. Now, we don't need to run to the doctors everytime we need to measure the sugar level of my father and can be performed in just simple steps at home.

I punch on finger two separate time & blood sample given but error showing E3 , E6 so please let me know problem of instrument or procedure. But I followed the procedure given in Acc check site but error shown above . So how many blood I spent for getting proper result.
