bought for Rs.452 in an offer from Silkrute and here is my experience regarding Protinex Original - 400 g There is no such thing as a protein deficiency on a diet sufficient in calories . Only in cases of calorie restriction or starvation do we observe protein deficiency Protinex markets itself by claiming that 80% Indians are not getting enough protein which is completely a wrong assumption . Of-course this drink will work on someone who really lacks that macro..but really how common is that ? Now question arises "Why you want to take ProteinX?" As far as protineX is concerned, it is important to understand the amount of protein you will be getting from a serving of it. The protein content of ProtineX per 100 gm. is about 32 gm, along with equal amount of sugar as well. That means, along with only 32 gm. of protein per 100 gm. you are getting a lot of empty calories in the form of sugar. Secondly, the primary protein used in this product is Soy Isolate. Processed forms of soy are usually a reason of concern among many due to allergy reasons or conditions like PCOS or Thyroid related problems. A research foundation have listed a few major side effects you can have by using Protinex power in more quantity :- 1) Gas problems : A few bodies are allergic to proteins, that can be well understood if you are unable to digest it at all. Or if you are taking it in quantity more than specified than also you can have the same problem. Normally, most people have this problem in the early phases of training then you body starts managing this itself. This is the first and last time I have considered taking protein in powdered form. your well balanced diet is sufficient to cover your daily need of protein.
