This salt catches an eye becoz it appears cheap. However the salt has adulteration of very fine pink dust which settles when u mix it in water. Can only be used for drinks where sand settles down. Do not use in any vegetable, pickles, jam, jellies or any eatable for that matter

Use tata rock salt or any other brand which contains iodine. As iodine is an essential mineral and is not found in our daily diet, organic tattva should have mentioned it as nowadays every salt brand white / rock has iodine in it.

This is a good, basic rock salt at a very reasonable price. The color is grey - whitish. To all the reviewers that complained about the lack of pink color: Natural rock salt can have various shades of pink, grey or white. The pink color reflects the iron content, which naturally varies at different mining sites. Thus, the quality of a white rock salt is not inferior to that of a pink one, unless you specifically desire a high iron content. Furthermore, an "organic" rock salt is 100% natural and comes without the toxic additives (such as aluminium) found in ordinary table salt.
