Yellow jowar is grown with limited water resources and usually without application of any fertilizers or other inputs by a multitude of small-holder farmers in many countries. Good for weight watchers as the fiber takes longest time to digest. This yellow variety is rich in arytenoids like beta carotene lutein and zeaxanthin proteins like iron copper zinc potassium phosphorus but low in calcium and sodium.
