The description mentions that there are no added vitamins, however the label mentions ‘Fortified’ Fortified is added minerals. I don’t understand. The ingredients in the picture shown only dried inactive yeast. On the actual bottle it mentions all the b vitamins & folic acid. If the yeast is actually natural and no synthetic minerals have been added there shouldn’t be fortified mentioned in the label. It’s very misleading

I wouldn't go as far to call it a substitute for cheese.Coz it's clearly not. It's a mildly flavoured cheesy powder that can be sprinkled over a sandwich, popcorn or fries.If you put it in a smoothie or soup the flavour is way too mild to be discernible. I tried it over pizza and pasta and certainly did enhance the flavour profile. However the pizza and pasta already had cheese in it. It's exorbitant for the quantity received. But it's still good quality nutritional yeast and would keep well on the shelf for atleast a year.

This came quickly, and the taste is perfectly spot-on how it should be. Lots of great nutrients, and it does indeed taste a lot like cheese (which is hard to find in our current city). The kids were rejoicing when opening it, because now we can have that great flavour again. :-) Thanks for making this product available! We will definitely be buying it again when this jar runs out.

I initially used a few scoops of the product without fully peeling the seal off. The product was a bit more bitter than other nooch products I've tried in the past, but still had that cheesy-nutty aroma and taste. However, the big scare came after fully peeling off the seal. The product had some brown-black lumps in it. There weren't a lot, but as I kept mixing I kept finding more. The flakes were also not a uniform yellow as you see in the pictures, some had a brown tinge to them. The internet and answers here seem to suggest contamination, mold etc. Urban Platter replied to my query regarding this, and said they will investigate. Product has been thrown out, but I'll update here if and when the company provides an update.
