It is an excellent product, and nice to have been made available so. However, one star less for being lazy and not finding a way to keep the profitability while working out a lower cost (for customers). Hope this is rectified soon. :)

I finally went ahead and got myself the "vegan," alternative to cheese powder, only to be disappointed. It's not bad but the flavour is super subtle and you won't detect the flavour at all in dishes like Ramen or sandwiches unless you are using a couple of tablespoons at least.

Taste is nice, but price is too high for 100 gms. Similar products in European supermarkets are four to five times cheaper. This is the main reason for giving three stars. However, the quality is good, and I would possibly buy it again as there is not much choice for this product in the market

Urban Platter nutritional yeast flakes - Taste is good, but thats not what matters. I've bought this product for the Thiamine & Niacin that I'm assuming are natural & not fortified. On the jar it says that "All ingredients are produced by natural fermentation - not synthetic or animal sources" but on the front of the jar the label says " 100% vegan, non GMO & fortified". So what exactly is fortified? Thiamine & Niacin are the most important B-complex vitamins that are difficult to obtain in sufficient quantities from diet and thats why we are paying high price for nutritional yeast - to obtain these two vital vitamins in natural, bio available form. If these 2 ingredients are fortified, its like consuming sysnthetic vitamins & the purpose of nutritional yeast is defeated. The manufacturer should clarify whether the Thiamine & Niacin is wholly natural or partly synthetic.

You will have to get used to the taste, it ain’t horrible it it ain’t terrific either. Other than that it’s easy to use and has plenty of B1/3/6. Which is all that matters, using enough will calm you down in 30mins, so I may have been B1 deficientEspecially good for people with high cortisol, tea and coffee drinkers. B1 deficiency is no joke

The product has cyanoCobalamine(B12) which is synthetic, if youre here solely for nutritional purposes, I would recommend for nutritional yeast which has MethylCobalamine(B12) which will absorb much more better and ofc it would be expensive, But if youre here for flavour, the flavour is Strong cheesy flavour.
