This might be “the soap” to have in pre liberalisation India but with companies like forest essentials around i don’t think this is worth the price. Forest essential sugar soaps are way better than this.

I have a very positive experience. This is a connoisseur choice product. This pure sandal wood soap maintains body fragrance for the entire day. I was curious about this high priced soap from a govt organization and wanted to try it out. It was a very pleasant surprise for me. Any minor skin related problems will be eliminated over a period of time. I have been using it without break for the past 10 yrs. The packaging is phenomenal. Availability of this product is limited. May be the price determines the ease of availability from the neighbourhood stores.

Liked the moisture and scent upto some time. Also, felt the freshness after using this. But, 700+ price point cannot be justified any ways. Definitely not worth for that amount.
